PIEM Corporation, developer of the ONE‑W online wedding planning system used by about 30,000 couples and 250 wedding halls, faced weak security, poor load distribution, and inflexible operations that threatened customer trust and service availability. After evaluating options, PIEM selected F5 Networks’ BIG‑IP solution—using BIG‑IP Application Security Manager (ASM) as a web application firewall (WAF) and BIG‑IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM)—to protect personal data and handle high-volume access.

F5 Networks implemented BIG‑IP ASM for threat visualization and blocking and BIG‑IP LTM with iRules for more efficient load balancing and automation, with F5 engineers providing hands‑on testing and training. The rollout (pass‑through detection in Aug 2015, block mode from Jan 2016) exposed and helped block port scans and occasional SYN‑flood attacks, improved request persistence and load distribution, enabled rapid response to new threats, and bolstered customer confidence—helping PIEM differentiate itself and win customers.
