MailControl Delivers Better Security Using F5 on AWS

MailControl, a Chicago‑based email security company, needed greater visibility into email traffic and a traffic‑management solution that could handle a complex networking environment, support a fast‑moving DevOps process, and ensure high uptime. After consulting with AWS, MailControl selected F5 Networks and deployed BIG‑IP virtual editions (including BIG‑IP LTM) on AWS to provide routing, load balancing, and security for its email platform.

F5 Networks delivered BIG‑IP VEs from the AWS Marketplace with utility licensing and iControl REST API integration, enabling MailControl to be fully deployed within a week, automate provisioning/deprovisioning, and automatically scale resources as traffic thresholds are crossed. The solution boosted performance (by spreading outbound NAT across multiple IPs), increased application visibility and monitoring, enhanced customer security and compliance, and gave MailControl greater confidence in stability and high availability.
