Interswitch Delivers 100% Uptime for Key Payment Services With F5 Platform

Interswitch, a leading Nigerian electronic payments company, needed to scale and ensure 24/7 application availability for growing transaction volumes after outgrowing Apache-based load balancing. To avoid downtime and performance bottlenecks as it rolled out new payment services, Interswitch selected F5 Networks’ application delivery control platform, deploying multiple BIG-IP appliances and modules to replace its legacy load balancers.

F5 Networks implemented a consolidated F5 BIG-IP solution (BIG-IP 4000/3200/2000 units with LTM, GTM/Link Controller and ASM, plus iRules for traffic control), enabling SSL offload, rolling upgrades and stronger security.
