A F5 Networks Case Study
Hamline University, a small private liberal arts college in St. Paul, Minnesota, needed a way to support hands-on learning across more than 50 areas of study while a small IT team stayed on top of day-to-day support, app updates, and security patches. As the university moved more services to the cloud, it needed a secure way to support faculty, staff, and students both on and off campus. Hamline turned to F5 Networks for help.
F5 Networks implemented F5 Cloud Services and F5 Essential App Protect to provide automated security support for cloud-based applications and the student information system. The university said the setup gave the IT team better visibility into blocked threats and reduced the maintenance burden, allowing staff to spend more time supporting students and faculty rather than managing security upkeep.
