Fidessa Provides Exceptional Support for Its Customers with F5 Solution

Fidessa, a global financial trading systems provider that handles more than $10 trillion in order flow annually, needed to modernize its customer support platform and guarantee immediate, reliable service for clients worldwide. After replacing a legacy support desk with BMC Remedy, Fidessa required robust load balancing, high availability and disaster resilience for this business‑critical application, and selected F5 Networks' BIG‑IP Application Delivery Controllers to meet those demands.

F5 Networks worked with Fidessa (and partner Avnet) to deploy four BIG‑IP LTM 3900 units and two BIG‑IP GTM 1600 units across two data centres, using iRules to customise traffic handling and redirecting. The F5 solution now balances traffic across more than 30 web and application servers, handled over 2 petabytes of traffic in the first month, and provides automatic failover for 24/7 availability—eliminating bottlenecks, helping Fidessa meet SLA commitments and leaving headroom for traffic spikes and future growth.
