Everi Uses F5 Solutions to Achieve High Availability and Protect Financial Transactions

Everi, a supplier of slot machines and casino financial services that processes more than 90 million transactions and roughly $20 billion in gaming-floor cash annually, faced the need to upgrade its backup data center to full production capability, streamline complex failover and reconciliation processes, automate IT tasks, and protect against continual security attacks. To meet these requirements Everi standardized on F5 Networks solutions, deploying the VIPRION platform and the BIG‑IP family (including BIG‑IP LTM, BIG‑IP DNS and BIG‑IP APM) and using F5 iRules for traffic customization and automation.

F5 Networks implemented an active‑active architecture using VIPRION and BIG‑IP modules for intelligent traffic management, SSO/two‑factor access, and application security. As a result Everi consistently achieves five‑nines availability (99.999% uptime), blocks continual malicious attacks with virtually no service disruption, scales capacity to support growth, and has cut routine administrative tasks from about an hour to five–10 minutes—while improving PCI DSS reporting and overall IT productivity.
