Hobsons is an education technology provider that delivers SaaS-based applications for course and career planning, recruiting, enrollment, and retention to colleges and universities. Facing mission-critical traffic spikes around application deadlines and the need to route different user types without burdening customers’ IT teams, Hobsons turned to F5 Networks—deploying BIG‑IP solutions to ensure high availability and seamless traffic management.

F5 Networks implemented BIG‑IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) across four data centers and BIG‑IP Global Traffic Manager (GTM) at two sites, leveraging BIG‑IP v10 features such as iRules and BIG‑IP WebAccelerator (SSL offload, dynamic caching, compression) to optimize and control application traffic.
