Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited Enhances Performance and Access to Its Banking Services with F5 Solutions

Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited, Bangladesh’s first joint‑venture bank with 170 branches, 4,100 ATMs, 10,000 POS and 20 million customers, faced high volumes of incoming traffic and needed to improve performance, availability and integration of its Core Banking, Mobile, Agent, Switching and Internet banking systems across three data centers. To address load balancing, uptime and application‑centric infrastructure needs, the bank engaged F5 Networks and deployed BIG‑IP LTM and BIG‑IP DNS (with BIG‑IP Link Controller).

F5 Networks implemented automated failover and cross‑data‑center load balancing, optimized SSL traffic and integrated the BIG‑IP solution with Cisco ACI to centralize policy control. The deployment delivered near‑perfect application uptime, eliminated revenue loss from outages, reduced server load, sped up transactions and page loads, and enabled data‑center consolidation so fewer sites now handle greater workloads, markedly improving availability and the end‑user experience.
