SpringCM, an award‑winning cloud content management provider, faced rapidly growing traffic (doubling each quarter) and needed to maintain high performance, low costs, and streamlined data center administration. Their existing load balancer couldn’t deliver the five‑nines availability or utilization they required, so SpringCM rebuilt its infrastructure in 2007 using Application Delivery Networking devices from F5 Networks, including BIG‑IP LTM, BIG‑IP WebAccelerator and iRules (with BIG‑IP LTM Virtual Edition for secondary sites).

Using F5 Networks’ BIG‑IP system (LTM, WebAccelerator, iRules and LTM VE), SpringCM offloaded SSL, enabled dynamic caching/compression and intelligent browser referencing, and directed traffic across physical and virtual pools.
