Byer California is a privately held garment manufacturer that must move quickly to market—producing nearly 20,000–30,000 new SKUs every 10–12 weeks—and needed to customize Oracle E-Business Suite to handle complex, high‑volume, multi‑dimensional orders and regain visibility after moving much of manufacturing offshore. To support rapid development, testing and production provisioning and to ensure reliable application delivery, Byer selected F5 Networks and its BIG‑IP Local Traffic Manager (LTM) Application Delivery Controllers alongside Oracle and VMware technologies.

F5 Networks’ BIG‑IP LTM provided enterprise‑class load balancing and high availability for Byer’s .NET web servers and Oracle grid applications, enabling active‑active grid deployments on VMware ESX and HP blade servers and simplifying migration from legacy HP‑UX clusters. The deployment accelerated development and deployment cycles, supported 400–500 users and seasonal scaling needs, consolidated critical order processing (95% of orders via Oracle EDI) on a resilient network, and delivered near‑100% uptime (excluding electrical outages), improved business agility and a clear return on investment.
