North America Financial Institution, a member-owned full-service financial institution with more than $600 million in assets, engaged F3 Technology Partners to provide remote monitoring and support for the Oracle database behind its DNA from Fiserv core banking platform. The customer had little visibility into database health before monitoring was put in place, and soon after go-live F3 uncovered critical issues affecting standby synchronization, name resolution, and disk performance.

F3 Technology Partners fixed the immediate database name resolution issue, rebuilt and resynced the local and remote standby databases, and implemented Oracle Data Guard to automate protection and keep both standbys only seconds to minutes behind production. F3 also identified a major disk bottleneck and a SQL statement driving about 60% of the load, giving the customer and Fiserv clear action items; as a result, the databases have been running much more smoothly with improved resilience and far less risk of downtime or data loss.
