UK Council successfully digitises files with the help of EzeScan!

Staffordshire County Council faced a significant challenge when moving to a new headquarters that had very limited physical storage space. The council, which needed to relocate 1500 staff, required a digitisation strategy to become a paper-light organization and free up the new office for productive use. To address this, they chose a solution from vendor EzeScan.

The council implemented EzeScan’s capture solution alongside Kodak scanners to back-scan paperwork from all departments. This setup produced text-searchable PDFs that were integrated directly into their existing EDRMS, saving time on manual data entry. The solution was cost-effective and highly reliable, enabling the in-house team to process an estimated 1.1 to 1.5 million images. The successful digitisation project by EzeScan will result in annual savings of £250,000 and allows the council to offer an ongoing scan-on-demand service.
