Pacific Life, a provider of life insurance and investment products, faced significant challenges processing physical mail and maintaining business continuity when employees were forced to work remotely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A backlog of mail was building up, creating inefficiencies and exposing staff to health risks. They needed a rapid and secure digital mailroom (DMR) solution and turned to EzeScan for a resolution.
EzeScan deployed its WebApps-based Digital Mailroom solution to quickly digitize and automate Pacific Life's mail intake and distribution. The implementation converted 52 physical mail stops to digital, enabling the secure processing of 300-1200 mail pieces daily across two locations using 256-bit encryption. The EzeScan solution strengthened information security, provided cost savings by eliminating remailing, and made all mail accessible to remote employees anytime, anywhere.
