Côte Restaurants, a UK-based chain of modern French brasseries with 46 locations, faced significant challenges in its central finance department. The team was inundated with a high volume of paper invoices received via post, leading to a slow, manual, and error-prone process that was often a week behind. They sought an automated solution from vendor EzeScan to improve efficiency and save time and money.

EzeScan, in partnership with Margolis, implemented an automated invoice processing solution integrated with DocuWare. The system captured data from hard copy invoices, placed them into digital workflows for electronic approval, and significantly sped up the entire process. The results for Côte were substantial: invoice processing time was cut from 30 days to a maximum of 14, staff required was reduced from 6 to 1.5 people, and data accuracy improved from 75% to nearly 90%, providing better cash flow management and supporting future growth.
