Their PDF forms required citizens to print, handwrite, and mail them in, leading to inconsistent data, duplication of effort, and an inability to reuse the captured information. To address this, they partnered with EzeScan to implement an automated web form capture solution.

EzeScan provided a solution that standardized forms and automated their processing through a single inbox. They implemented a code identifier to classify records and ensure data was correctly saved and titled in the Micro Focus Content Manager system. As a result, the City of Kingston achieved better customer service with near-instant form submission, increased data accuracy, and freed up staff from manual data entry to focus on more valuable work. Over 40 forms have been automated to date.
