Bayside City Council takes paperless path with the help of EzeScan

Bayside City Council needed to transition from a paper-based environment to an electronic records management system to reduce extensive manual data entry and handling. To address this challenge, the council partnered with vendor EzeScan to implement its Batch Capture solution.

The EzeScan solution automated the scanning and data capture of incoming correspondence and applications, applying metadata and triggering workflows in the Content Manager system. This resulted in significant savings for the council by drastically reducing the amount of paper that needed to be stored both on and off-site, while also freeing up staff resources to be redirected to other business areas.
