How Text Promotions Yielded Major Results for Viking Range

Viking Range Corporation’s Viking Cooking School—16 locations and over 70,000 students a year—needed a way to coupon and communicate with current and prospective students to fill classes and improve outreach. They engaged EZ Texting to implement a mobile marketing program that could target students, instructors, and staff.

Using EZ Texting they created three groups (Members, Instructors, Staff), piloted the program in Ridgeland, MS, and drove signups by asking students to text VIKING to 313131; the location built a list of ~300 members in three months. Weekly low-enrollment alerts quickly proved effective: one text (sent for under $15) filled eight $79 seats—about $632 in additional revenue—and the program has expanded to two more locations with plans to roll out further.
