A Exyn Technologies Case Study
Ascot Resources, a Canadian mining company, faced the challenge of safely reopening a 70-year-old dormant gold mine. Traditional surveying methods were too cumbersome, time-consuming, and dangerous for the narrow tunnels. They turned to Exyn Technologies and its autonomous aerial drone, the ExynAero, to map the unstable underground cavities in detail without exposing personnel to risk.
Exyn’s solution used a fully autonomous drone to pilot itself through the mine, capturing millions of data points in minutes to create highly accurate 3D maps. This allowed Ascot to safely and efficiently determine the extent of the remaining gold resources, providing critical data for investors. The Exyn technology significantly accelerated the survey process and eliminated the safety risks previously associated with the inspection.
