San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing & Community Development strengthens stakeholder alignment with Exygy in year two of Agency Data Exchange

The San Francisco Mayor's Office of Housing & Community Development faced significant inefficiencies and a negative user experience for applicants due to a lack of communication between social service agencies. This resulted in duplicative data entry and errors that placed a burden on vulnerable communities. Exygy partnered with the California Health and Human Services Agency (CalHHS) on its Agency Data Exchange program to address these foundational challenges.

Exygy provided strategy and design partnership, conducting a UX/UI audit and building a design system grounded in a service blueprint. They implemented internal documentation processes and layered facilitation techniques onto the existing Agile workflow to dramatically improve stakeholder alignment and engagement. This work established a stronger product foundation, refined processes to reduce time and resources between sprints, and kicked off learnings that informed critical technical and design decisions for the initiative.
