City of Charlotte launches 3 housing programs with Exygy

The City of Charlotte faced significant barriers in providing essential services to its residents, relying on a fragmented system of paper applications and informal referrals. To address this challenge, the city partnered with vendor Exygy to implement CiviForm, an open-source platform, with the goal of creating a streamlined, universal application and triage system.

Exygy worked alongside the City of Charlotte to design and develop a universal housing application using CiviForm, consolidating multiple programs into one simplified process. The solution improved collaboration with community organizations and laid a strong foundation for future expansion. As a direct result, three city programs are set to launch digitally, with five more poised to follow, and partnerships have been established with 20 city departments, the county, and numerous community-based organizations.
