Case Study: Fluxys builds a scalable hydrogen trading platform with Exxeta

We support Belgium in becoming a central hydrogen hub

Fluxys, a Belgian transmission system operator, faced the challenge of creating a brand new hydrogen market from scratch, lacking the necessary experience, data, and defined market mechanisms for the energy transition. They partnered with vendor Exxeta to develop a solution for this key project.

Exxeta developed the HyBex interactive platform using Java, Spring Boot, Angular UI, and AWS Cloud Services. The solution provided realistic simulations for market modeling and validation, laying the foundation for a scalable and efficient hydrogen trading infrastructure. As a result, the platform was highly successful, impressing market players and setting new standards for the energy industry, establishing Belgium as a central hydrogen hub.
