Addressing the Unique Challenges of Nursing Clinical Placements

Vanderbilt University School of Nursing needed a better way to manage nursing clinical placements, which were hindered by limited transparency, multiple systems and logins, and no centralized source of placement data. The university selected Exxat to help address these challenges, focusing on its STEPS (Student Training Education and Placements System) and CCS (Common Contract Sharing) products for placement and contract management.

Exxat implemented STEPS and CCS to centralize data, improve visibility across faculty, staff, and students, and simplify clinical placement workflows from site availability to reporting for accreditation. Vanderbilt reported strong early results, including all data organized in one place, a single point of access, easier data transfer, and better support; the school said Exxat delivered about 85% of its needs right out of the box and helped streamline data for upcoming accreditation visits.
