Trunk Networks Offers Dedicated Broadband Service for Gamers, Powered by Extreme Networks

Trunk Networks, a UK provider of network, cloud and connectivity services, launched Leetline to offer dedicated low-latency broadband for gamers who suffer from ISP throttling and variable latency. To meet the demanding needs for 100 Gbps connectivity, deep buffers and large route scale, Trunk Networks partnered with Extreme Networks and leveraged Extreme’s SLX portfolio (SLX 9540, SLX 9640, SLX 9030) along with the Extreme Insight Architecture and ExtremeFabric Automation.

Extreme Networks deployed SLX border routers and fabric switches with 100Gb links, embedding Extreme Insight Architecture for per-router visibility and using ExtremeFabric Automation to automate fabric setup. The result was a high-speed, very low-latency network with optimal routing and no packet loss to game servers; deployments can be configured in minutes, troubleshooting is faster, and Trunk Networks can now deliver Leetline across the UK with measurable gains in throughput, latency and operational speed.
