A Extreme Networks Case Study
The Hippodrome Casino, a six-story entertainment venue in London’s Leicester Square, faced bandwidth and functionality limits with its Cisco Meraki deployment as it expanded gaming floors and amenities. The casino needed higher network capacity to support growing numbers of users and endpoints, eliminate downtime during reconfigurations and maintenance, and gain better data-driven insights. In response, The Hippodrome Casino partnered with Extreme Networks, deploying ExtremeWireless, ExtremeSwitching and ExtremeCloud IQ.
Extreme Networks completed a full Meraki takeout and built separate wired and wireless networks for staff, customers, gaming and A/V, managed centrally through ExtremeCloud IQ. The new solution doubled network traffic capacity while reducing alerts by 84% (alerts dropped to one-sixth), delivered continuous 24/7/364 operation with thousands of users handled without performance dips, improved analytics for campaigns and wayfinding via heat maps, and ensured compliance and operational cost savings.
