A Extreme Networks Case Study
The Glasshouse International Centre for Music, a renowned music venue in Gateshead with three performance spaces and more than two million visitors a year, needed robust, high-density connectivity to meet evolving guest and client expectations, support hybrid events with active audience participation, and eliminate persistent connectivity issues. To address these challenges the venue worked with Extreme Networks, deploying ExtremeCloud™ IQ along with Extreme Wireless Access and Extreme Wired Access (in partnership with Aspire’s Ultrafast Dedicated Connectivity).
Extreme Networks’ solution—ExtremeCloud IQ, high-performance wireless APs and stackable network switches paired with Aspire’s UDC—modernized The Glasshouse’s network, eliminated connectivity problems and provided scalable capacity to handle sudden traffic spikes. The deployment enabled seamless audience participation, secure segmentation, on‑premise or cloud options to reduce operating costs, and the ability to transition from 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps within minutes, improving guest experience and increasing the likelihood of client re-bookings.
