A Extreme Networks Case Study
Southington Public Schools, a Connecticut district serving 6,200+ students and 725 faculty across twelve schools, faced difficulty connecting devices as counts jumped from hundreds to thousands after the return to in-person learning. The district needed greater bandwidth, reliable connectivity across multiple campuses, and improved uptime. In partnership with Extreme Networks, Southington deployed ExtremeSwitching, ExtremeWireless and ExtremeCloud IQ to modernize its network infrastructure.
Extreme Networks replaced legacy switches and APs and used ExtremeCloud IQ to provide a single pane of glass for management, enabling seamless onboarding, rapid phased rollouts and scalable growth. The solution delivered reliable connectivity for thousands of devices, improved uptime with fewer classroom interruptions, easier hardware phase-out, and faster support (including next‑day replacement), restoring instructional time and meeting the district’s modern learning needs.
