OFFSITE Scales Data Centers for Business Continuity Services with Extreme Networks

OFFSITE, a business continuity and disaster-recovery provider founded in 2001 with a five‑acre Wisconsin campus and a Tier‑III, 5,000 sq ft data center, needed to scale its network to support explosive growth while maintaining high performance, reliability and simple management. OFFSITE selected a 10 Gigabit solution from Extreme Networks — including Summit X650 and Summit X460 switches — after evaluating vendors for scalability, manageability and cost savings.

Extreme Networks deployed redundant Summit X650/X460 switches with SummitStack, EAPS and MLAG, and provided ExtremeXOS plus Ridgeline Service Advisor for centralized management. The result was sub‑second stacking failover, sub‑50 ms service recovery, faster on‑the‑fly provisioning, simplified operations and lower total cost of ownership, enabling OFFSITE to rapidly turn up new services and sustain its stringent uptime and failover commitments with Extreme Networks technology.
