Case Study: nexellent AG achieves increased bandwidth and route-scale capacity with Extreme Networks

A Extreme Networks Case Study

Preview of the nexellent AG Case Study

nexellent AG, Increases Route Scale Memory and Bandwidth, Prepares Network for Future Growth

nexellent AG, a Swiss colocation and cloud services provider operating three ISO‑certified data centers and serving around 200 customers, was hitting route scale memory, bandwidth and scalability limits as it expanded its public and private cloud offerings. After an RFP, nexellent selected Extreme Networks (ExtremeRouting, SLX 9640) to refresh its core MPLS backbone and support larger BGP tables, higher throughput and future growth.

Extreme Networks implemented a core upgrade using ExtremeRouting SLX 9640 hardware and a carefully planned migration, delivering immediate performance improvements, increased route scale memory and higher bandwidth with better handling of speed mismatches and microbursts. The upgrade reduced rack space and power consumption, kept disruptions confined to scheduled maintenance windows, improved reliability and support responsiveness, and positioned nexellent AG for scalable growth and stronger public cloud service delivery.
