National Cable Communications LCC (NCC Media), the nation’s largest broker of cable TV advertising, needed a next‑generation data center to deliver faster, more reliable service and greater visibility and control across its 18 locations. Facing performance, speed, reliability and manageability challenges, NCC Media selected Extreme Networks and its BlackDiamond X® Series, Summit® Series and Network & Service Management solutions to provide high‑density, standards‑based switching and centralized control.

Extreme Networks deployed a BlackDiamond X8 cloud‑scale switch with high‑density 10GbE–100GbE blades and a network & service management platform to centralize configuration, monitoring and provisioning. The Extreme Networks solution flattened the data center topology, reduced latency and eliminated oversubscription while increasing visibility and centralized management — enabling a smooth migration, simplified operations for NCC Media’s small IT team, and a full roll‑out of Extreme Networks equipment across all locations.
