Luminate Education Group Secures Bright Future with Fabric

Luminate Education Group, which serves about 30,000 students and more than 2,000 staff across 17 campuses, needed a robust, resilient network to support growth, security and easier management for some 7,500 wireless devices and 4,000 desktops while keeping strain off a small IT team of seven. In partnership with Syscomm, Extreme Networks was selected to deliver a unified wired, wireless and fabric solution, including ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine, Extreme Fabric Connect, ExtremeWireless and ExtremeSwitching.

Extreme Networks implemented a scalable fabric network managed centrally by ExtremeCloud IQ Site Engine, enabling remote monitoring and real‑time control so the small IT team can act as if they are on site. The deployment has delivered uninterrupted connectivity for thousands of end users across its campuses, supported continued expansion and hundreds of infrastructure upgrades without downtime, and even enabled an Extreme Academy and new programs like Esports — all while reducing operational burden and futureproofing Luminate Education Group’s network.
