A Extreme Networks Case Study
Le Jardin Academy (LJA), an independent International Baccalaureate school on Oahu with 950+ users across two campuses and 10 buildings, needed a more reliable, easily managed network to support BYOD in grades 6–12 and a 1:1 Chromebook rollout in grades 3–5. With only two networking staff, intermittent power issues, and increasing bandwidth demands, LJA engaged Extreme Networks and deployed an Extreme Networks managed services solution—including ExtremeWireless, ExtremeSwitching, ExtremeManagement, and ExtremeControl—to modernize their infrastructure.
Extreme Networks moved LJA from on‑premise gear to a hosted, cloud‑managed solution, installed switches and wireless access (62 APs) and implemented ExtremeControl/ExtremeManagement for user/device segmentation. The result: 99% uptime despite local power challenges, lower total cost of ownership and capital spending, reduced hardware management time for LJA’s IT team, and freed funds and staff time to invest in classroom technology—backed by 24x7 GTAC support from Extreme Networks.
