Case Study: Hospital Valencia achieves a high-performance, secure, always-available network with Extreme Networks

A Extreme Networks Case Study

Preview of the Hospital Valencia Case Study

High Performance Infrastructure for One of Spain's Largest Healthcare Providers

Hospital Valencia, one of Spain’s largest healthcare providers, faced rising demands for high performance, availability, security and scalability as clinical systems, VoIP and growing numbers of connected devices strained its network. With a single networking IT staff managing 3,000 users across 9 locations, the hospital selected Extreme Networks to perform a full renewal and upgrade of its wired and wireless infrastructure and add centralized security and management.

Extreme Networks deployed S-Series modular and B-Series stackable switches, ExtremeWireless controllers and access points, Extreme Access Control and Extreme Management Center in a distributed, no-single-point-of-failure design. The result is a high‑performance, redundant wired backbone and secure, always‑available Wi‑Fi with full campus coverage, role‑based access, and a single “pane‑of‑glass” for management—supporting more than 3,000 users across 9 buildings and enabling reliable delivery of voice, clinical records and future network growth.
