Federal Justice Modernizes Safety and Security with Fabric

The Federal Public Service Justice of Belgium, responsible for the country’s legal order and employing over 23,000 staff across 240 buildings, faced an outdated network that hindered digitalization, security, scalability and simplified management. To support new technologies like video conferencing, VoIP and critical wireless applications while reducing IT overhead, the FPS Justice engaged Extreme Networks (in partnership with Orange Cyberdefense) to modernize its infrastructure.

Extreme Networks deployed Extreme Fabric Connect and Extreme Switching to deliver a simplified, resilient fabric that increased Wi‑Fi speeds 20x across 240 locations, enabled secure data sharing and critical application access for over 23,000 users, and supported high-performance video conferencing. The Extreme Networks solution consolidated network management, improved bandwidth and security, freed IT to focus on higher-value tasks, and established a scalable platform for further modernization.
