Extreme Networks Wireless Solution Allows State Senate to Go Paperless with iPads on the Senate Floor

The State of New Hampshire Government — supporting more than 1,100 staff, legislators and visitors across four locations with a single IT administrator — needed reliable, secure wireless, BYOD support and a way to go paperless on the senate floor with iPads. To meet those goals they selected Extreme Networks, deploying components such as S-Series and N-Series switches, OneFabric Control Center, NetSight, Mobile IAM, Network Access Control (NAC) and IndentiFi wireless APs and controllers.

Extreme Networks implemented a unified wired/wireless infrastructure with NetSight for centralized management, NAC and Mobile IAM for secure BYOD access, and IndentiFi for seamless coverage. The result was fast, secure, reliable wireless for 1,100+ users across four buildings managed by a single IT staffer, enabled a paperless iPad workflow on the senate floor, simplified administration (including easier firmware scheduling) and reported cost savings and productivity gains — outcomes the State attributes directly to Extreme Networks.
