A Extreme Networks Case Study
Dalinde Medical Center, a third‑level hospital in Mexico City supporting roughly 1,100 nodes across three buildings, was struggling with network bottlenecks, poor visibility and intermittent outages (often 1–2 hours) that affected imaging, VoIP, BYOD and other mission‑critical services. To achieve 24/7 availability, security and better control, Dalinde selected Extreme Networks and adopted ExtremeSwitching, S‑Series modular core switches, ExtremeManagement and ExtremeWireless.
Extreme Networks (with partner Fandis) replaced the flat network with a new core, switches, controllers and Wi‑Fi access points and completed the rollout in three staged phases—fully enabled in three weeks. The Extreme Networks solution delivered a secure, high‑speed infrastructure with centralized management (“single pane of glass”), supported mission‑critical services across all buildings, and yielded dramatic reliability improvements—Dalinde reports no failures or system crashes in three years and marked gains in performance and visibility.
