Extreme Fabric Gears Up Volkswagen’s Digital Future

Volkswagen Poznań, a Polish subsidiary of Volkswagen that employs over 10,000 people, faced rising competitive pressure and needed greater innovation, agility, automated processes, and stronger data security across its manufacturing plants. To address these challenges it partnered with Extreme Networks, deploying Extreme Fabric Connect along with ExtremeWireless, ExtremeWired, ExtremeCloud IQ‑SE and ExtremeControl to modernize its network infrastructure.

Extreme Networks implemented a Fabric-based solution with hyper-segmentation, unified wired/wireless management, and access control that was rolled out without disrupting operations. The deployment simplified and automated administration, secured devices and users, enabled large-scale data collection and analytics, and supported high-bandwidth, large-device environments—rapidly onboarding equipment and improving mobility and reliability across the plant—positioning Volkswagen for a digital future.
