A Extreme Networks Case Study
Eufaula City Schools, the oldest city school district in Alabama, needed a dependable network to power a new state-of-the-art indoor athletic facility and to fix unreliable wired/wireless connections in classrooms. With only three IT staff, the district faced persistent connectivity, power and support challenges for cameras, iPads, wearables and BYOD across a facility serving about 200–250 student athletes daily, so Eufaula City Schools engaged Extreme Networks and deployed ExtremeWireless, ExtremeManagement and ExtremeAnalytics.
Extreme Networks, working with integrator Synergetics, installed sectional antennas, AP3825 access points, cabling and management/analytics tools to deliver 100% wireless coverage, 24/7 support and simpler troubleshooting. The solution turned the athletic center into a BYOD-enabled hub (200–250 athletes/day), enabled video capture/replay for coaching, restored reliable connectivity in four classrooms, supported robotics and the district’s 1:1 learning goals, and provided analytics-based monitoring to improve overall network reliability and user experience.
