Enabling Technology-Rich Curriculum at Forsyth County Schools

Forsyth County Schools, a rapidly growing public district north of Atlanta serving roughly 50,000 students across 37 schools, needed seamless high‑speed Wi‑Fi, greater bandwidth, robust security, and analytics to support a technology‑rich curriculum and heavy device density. Extreme Networks was engaged to address those challenges, supplying 4,659 access points and a centralized, single‑pane‑of‑glass wired and wireless management platform along with network and application analytics.

Extreme Networks’ deployment delivered centralized management and granular visibility that simplified operations and scaled performance: the network now supports 27,000 Chromebooks, 1,500 surveillance cameras and about 100,000 unique devices, enabled 100% online state testing, and tripled network bandwidth. The environment is managed by just two full‑time network admins with zero systems operation issues, demonstrating measurable operational efficiency and reliability.
