Elmbrook School District Enhances Connected Experience through an Agile and Resilient Network

Elmbrook Schools, a Wisconsin K–12 district serving more than 7,400 students across 10 schools, faced rising network demand from new facilities, growing device counts, and the need for a single-generation technology refresh. The district engaged Extreme Networks, choosing ExtremeWireless (630 Wi‑Fi 6 APs), ExtremeSwitching (90 5520 switches), ExtremeCloud IQ and ExtremeAnalytics to modernize their infrastructure.

Extreme Networks implemented the wireless, switching and cloud/analytics stack with a quick summer rollout, delivering immediate reductions in Wi‑Fi trouble tickets, enhanced client-level visibility, and support for 60+ devices per classroom. The upgrade improved performance for teaching and learning, enabled support for video surveillance and building automation, simplified management so a single IT staffer can maintain the network, and freed IT time for other priorities.
