Eldorado Resort Casino in Reno, Nevada faced persistent guest Wi‑Fi complaints and needed a seamless, personalized wireless experience across its property and sister hotels. To meet guest expectations for reliable coverage, centralized authentication, location‑based insights and future digital initiatives, Eldorado partnered with Extreme Networks (with implementation support from SONIFI), selecting Extreme Wireless and Extreme Management Center as the core solution.

Extreme Networks and SONIFI designed and deployed a Dense AP architecture (486 in 814 guestrooms plus 90 additional APs) using the T5 system and TW‑522 wall plates, heat‑map‑driven Wi‑Fi zones, beaconing and a centralized 48‑hour authentication. The implementation delivered over 90% coverage, drove concurrent users from ~200–300 to 700–2,000 (with higher totals expected across all properties), and produced a 53% year‑over‑year drop in negative guest Wi‑Fi complaints, significantly reducing IT troubleshooting and future‑proofing Eldorado’s digital initiatives.
