Eden Prairie Schools Strike the Balance Between Security and Innovation with Cloud

Eden Prairie Schools, a top Minnesota public district of ten schools serving nearly 10,000 PK–12 students, needed to fortify network security without restricting innovation, control access for personal devices, and support growing bandwidth demands while its IT team remained stretched thin. In partnership with Extreme Networks, the district deployed cloud-managed networking using ExtremeCloud IQ, ExtremeWireless, and ExtremeSwitching to address these challenges.

Extreme Networks implemented a district-wide cloud-managed wired and wireless solution centered on ExtremeCloud IQ, giving IT a real-time, holistic view of utilization, firmware and access-point performance to proactively troubleshoot and remediate issues. The deployment delivered reliable connectivity for standardized testing, stronger security for school and guest devices, plans to migrate to a Fabric-based network for added resiliency, and simplified IT operations that free staff time for new initiatives while protecting the student learning experience.
