Clarke Willmott Simplifies and Secures Their Network and Gains Valuable Insights

Clarke Willmott is a national UK law firm with seven offices and around 650 staff that needed a more secure, centrally managed Wi‑Fi environment to support agile working, protect confidential client data, and provide segregated guest access. Facing capacity limits, coverage dead zones, inconsistent performance and GDPR compliance concerns, the firm chose Extreme Networks (deploying ExtremeWireless access points and planning cloud management with ExtremeCloud IQ) to deliver a secure, enterprise-grade wireless solution.

Working with deployment partner Appurity, Extreme Networks ran a 10‑AP250 proof of concept and expanded the rollout to over 30 access points across all seven offices, plus a VGVA VPN gateway for simplified remote access. The Extreme Networks deployment delivered WPA2 enterprise security, centralized cloud management, guest segmentation via captive portal, fewer coverage dead zones, improved stability and easier maintenance—supporting 650 staff, reducing downtime and giving the firm clearer network insight and compliance controls.
