A Extreme Networks Case Study
City of Littleton, a Colorado municipality serving about 48,000 residents, needed to accelerate its digital transformation during the COVID‑19 pandemic to ensure operational continuity, support remote work, and expand Wi‑Fi coverage without disrupting services. To meet those needs the City of Littleton turned to Extreme Networks, deploying solutions including ExtremeCloud IQ, ExtremeSwitching, and Extreme Fabric Connect to provide a single‑pane‑of‑glass management approach and increased networking capability.
Extreme Networks implemented a resilient fabric-based core with Extreme Fabric Connect and ExtremeSwitching while consolidating monitoring and control in ExtremeCloud IQ. The result: the city reports no issues with wired connectivity, failover or performance, faster deployment of digital services, improved network security, and a single interface for managing wired and wireless infrastructure (including predictive AP placement and historical analytics). Littleton’s IT team says migration was seamless, troubleshooting is faster, and the centralized platform enables reliable support for all municipal departments and emergency operations.
