A Extreme Networks Case Study
Christ Church Grammar School in Claremont, Western Australia, faced a connectivity crisis when rolling out nearly 2,000 iPads (1,650 students plus staff) across 25 buildings: their legacy Cisco wireless couldn’t support group downloads, streaming or the school’s MDM requirements. They selected Extreme Networks and its portfolio (IdentiFi wireless access points, B‑series and S‑series switches, NetSight, OneFabric Connect SDN, Purview and Mobile IAM) to replace the ageing network.
Extreme Networks deployed a campus-wide solution—B‑series edge and S‑series core switches, IdentiFi APs, OneFabric Connect with JAMF Casper integration, NetSight and Purview—providing first‑party MDM integration, analytics and device tracking. The result: reliable, scalable connectivity for ~2,000 devices across 25 buildings, application boot times reduced from over ten minutes to almost instant, improved application visibility and control, NetSight heatmap-based device location, and far fewer disconnects reported by staff.
