A Extreme Networks Case Study
Chávez/Huerta K-12 Preparatory Academy in Pueblo, Colorado (1,025 students across 21 buildings) faced an outdated wired network that left classrooms without reliable Wi‑Fi, forced teachers to use personal hotspots or plug in laptops, and burdened a single IT staffer with extensive manual troubleshooting. The academy chose Extreme Networks and its wireless products (AP3805 and AP3935 access points) plus ExtremeCloud™ to modernize the campus network.
Extreme Networks, working with Colorado Computer Support, deployed over 70 AP3805/AP3935 access points and ExtremeCloud centralized management (up from just 6 APs), delivering campus‑wide wireless, increased bandwidth, and BYOD support. As a result Extreme Networks enabled remote, single‑pane management and faster troubleshooting, segregated student/admin traffic, eliminated cable hassles for faculty, and significantly improved network performance for all 1,025 students and 140 staff.
