Burgerville Deploys Extreme Networks for Secure and Robust Retail Networking Solution

Burgerville, a 39-location quick-service restaurant chain with 1,500 employees known for its sustainability initiatives, needed to replace unreliable consumer-grade Wi‑Fi with an enterprise-class solution that would provide PCI-compliant security, centrally managed VPNs, and reliable wireless for new tablet POS and guest services. Burgerville engaged Extreme Networks and evaluated ExtremeCloud IQ and ExtremeWireless solutions to address these requirements.

Extreme Networks deployed BR200 branch routers, AP121 access points, a Cloud VPN Gateway and ExtremeCloud IQ Online with Extreme OS features (AD integration, QoS and application visibility) to create a controller-less, cloud-managed retail network. The deployment delivered centralized management, prioritized networks for POS, corporate and guests, and support for the Nomad food truck and outdoor ordering; Burgerville is now fully PCI compliant (TrustWave-audited), reduced on-site IT visits through cloud configuration updates, and enabled new customer-facing analytics and wireless services.
