Brand New Las Vegas Resort Builds Largest A/V Network on the Strip

Resorts World Las Vegas, the new integrated resort on the Las Vegas Strip, needed a network capable of supporting the largest A/V deployment on the Strip—more than 900 video endpoints, 1,000 video streams, and 700 audio endpoints across theaters, a 117,000 ft2 casino floor, massive LED walls and other large-scale displays. Working with Technology West Group, Resorts World Las Vegas selected Extreme Networks and its solutions (ExtremeCloud IQ, Extreme Fabric Connect, ExtremeSwitching and ExtremeXOS) to meet highly specific, real‑time audio/visual requirements.

Extreme Networks deployed a fabric-based network running on more than 200 Extreme switches to deliver the A/V infrastructure, using Fabric Connect for rapid temporary switch setup and automated VLAN provisioning and ExtremeCloud IQ to enable a two-person IT team to manage the entire estate. The Extreme Networks solution achieved measurable results—only 6 ms end‑to‑end A/V latency, AVB/AVNU certification support for complex A/V protocols, simplified event provisioning, and a deployment that could be completed by a single engineer.
