ArcelorMittal Improves IT Performance and Reliability Across Three European Corporate Hubs

ArcelorMittal Ostrava, part of the global ArcelorMittal group, faced the need for a robust, highly available IT network to support its digitalisation and Industry 4.0 initiatives across European hubs (serving over 1,300 users and 2,500 devices). To address this, ArcelorMittal Ostrava engaged Extreme Networks to provide a unified wired and wireless infrastructure using Extreme’s Smart OmniEdge solution and Extreme Management Center.

Extreme Networks deployed Smart OmniEdge along with Extreme Management Center, Extreme Analytics and Extreme Control, centralizing management in Luxembourg, stabilizing switching, and improving visibility and security to support cloud migration to Microsoft Azure. The implementation improved network availability and performance, accelerated rollout of new communication and cloud applications, centralized network management, and drove measurable gains—boosting workforce productivity by more than 20% under Extreme Networks.
