Abbotsleigh Boosts Performance and Reduces Complexity with Extreme Networks

Abbotsleigh, an independent K–12 school in Sydney, Australia, was struggling with legacy network infrastructure that could not keep up with growing demands from digital learning, AV systems, and building automation. The school needed a more resilient, higher-performance foundation, and turned to Extreme Networks for a solution using Extreme Networks’ Fabric technology.

Extreme Networks upgraded Abbotsleigh’s network with Extreme Fabric, VSP core switches, 5000 series edge switches, and ExtremeCloud IQ with ExtremeControl. The new setup simplified management, improved resilience and performance, and enabled scalable multicast AV-over-IP traffic. Abbotsleigh reported switch deployments dropping from hours to minutes, better bandwidth utilization, faster reconvergence, and easier day-to-day network operations.
