Zonar Systems provides hardware and SaaS for fleet operations, including the ZLogs app on its purpose-built 2020 Android tablets that transmit real-time trip and inspection data. Facing large, unexplained per-device cellular bills from their carrier, Zonar needed visibility into what traffic was consuming bandwidth to determine whether usage was legitimate or the result of misuse or device problems.

Zonar deployed ExtraHop to analyze wire data and gain device-level insight; the platform showed that heavy data consumption was caused by a tablet bug rather than unauthorized streaming.
